Just back from 2 weeks in France. What a trip ! We had great weather. Apart form all the sights to see and of course the great food and wine , I love the French markets. I recommend checking out www.frenchmarketdays.com for information on markets near your destination for holidays. The french love their ‘vide-greniers’ (or car boot sales to the uninitiated !!). We did three in one day in the heat which would test any bargain addict but I picked up some lovely things to bring home such as carved wooden boxes, antique cutlery and pretty pieces of ‘faience’ ware.
